Happy 4th of July - the date we have chosen to celebrate the birth of our nation.  The weather couldn’t be nicer – Hurricane Arthur missed Williamsburg, but cooled the temperature a bit.  The sun is shining, there is a slight breeze . . . it is perfect weather for stitching (of course I think ALL weather is perfect for stitching).  What is your favorite July 4th movie?  Being a musician, mine is ‘1776,’ but ‘The Patriot’ is a close second.

Have you checked the website lately?  We have added three additional world class teachers – a back basting teacher, a mixed medium teacher, and a wool teacher.  Visit the website, click on their pictures, and enjoy their biographies.
The Academy class schedule, project photos, supply lists, and registration costs will be posted August 9th.  Are you as excited as me? Registration will open Tuesday September 2nd, 2014 and will be an online process.

Over the next few weeks, we will be mailing out over 13,000 marketing cards to 500 quilt stores in every state along the eastern seaboard.   What is your favorite/local quilt store?  I will gladly check to make sure they are included in this mailing.  Also, if you are involved in a local guild, and can email me contact information – we will gladly send them an “ad” to include in their newsletter.
Thanks again for your support of this venue that is sure to quickly become an annual event!  Let’s continue spreading the word.
